Thanks for the tip Jenn! I still want to try Buddakan for the space and food, but I will lower my service expectations. I have been to Park Ave Spring a few times and agree that it's very good, in a classy UES way.

Skip Buddakan if you haven't tried it yet. Pretty decent food, amazing atmosphere but hands down, worst service I've ever had. Gave us our meal before we even finished appetizers and basically couldn't wait to get us out of there. For a great splurge, try Park Avenue Autumn (or Winter, Summer, Spring) instead:)

But love your blog, and definitely endorse so many of the places where you've already gone!

Thanks for the recommendation, Jill and Bill! We will add Savann to our list. The menu looks like creative spins on American standards and we're always looking for good Upper West Side options. Thanks, Scott & Kate

Hi Kate and Scott,
Some Columbus friends spent two consecutive weekends in the city last month and liked the Savann restaurant so much they ate there both times. Have you heard of it? It's at 79th and Amsterdam I think. Maybe a place that YouCouldEat next.
These friends brought us back a bottle of Turkish dessert wine (similar to a port but sweeter) from there which was very nice.
Love,
Jill and Bill
